Calabria villa Case Rosse

While Italy offers travellers no end of luxury hotels and resorts from which to choose, the country also boasts a variety of other great options worth considering when it comes time to start looking for somewhere great to stay.

One of the most popular alternatives – particularly for those who appreciate the extra space that comes with it – is to rent a vacation villa.

A personal favourite when visiting Calabria is the delightful No 1 Case Rosse, an exquisite three-bedroom villa with stunning views over the Mediterranean and the surrounding mountains. Located just a short drive from the village of Cittadella del Capo, this luxurious Calabria villa is available to rent year-round in the les travelled southern tip of Italy, a place where good food, plenty of sunshine, and extremely friendly locals ensure any holiday is a very special – and unforgettable – experience.

The spacious villa has been finished to a very high standard and, in addition to its three double bedrooms, also features two bathrooms, a spacious living area, dining room, and a fully equipped modern kitchen. The two upstairs bedrooms share an outside patio area with stunning views over the sea and coastline – the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine and some locally sourced olives!

Fun in your private luxury Calabria villa

Case Rosse is just minutes from the beach

Outside, guests can relax in the large private garden or on the covered patio area, which comes complete with a table for al fresco dining and comfortable chairs.

Close to the villa is a large infinity-edge pool shared by guests of neighbouring villas, ideal for children and adults alike. There is also a pool bar for when your drinks need refreshing and you can’t face walking that short distance back to the villa.

For those looking to dip your toes in the glistening waters of the Med, a number of excellent beaches are just minutes away by car.

And, of course, no Calabrian holiday is ever complete without sampling the local food. Make your way to pretty much any of the main piazzas of any nearby town or village and simply tuck into such delicious dishes as lasagne, locally caught seafood, pizza, and spicy chicken, to name but a few. But be sure to leave some room for a ‘Tartufo’, a delicious ice cream with a zabaglione centre.
